LOCAL DRIVING TUITION

Hi, I’m Dan Murphy DVSA approved Driving instructor (car) Grade A. I have over 15 years experience teaching people of all ages and abilities to drive manual cars, with a great success rate.

 I started my career as a driving instructor in 2007 upon qualifying I was one of the UK’s youngest driving instructors.

​

In the years of being a driving instructor I have been fortunate to work with Dorset Police & Dorset Fire & Rescue, with the original polite of The Honest Truth campaign which is now used national helping young people in schools to understand the dangers of driving.

​

In 2013 I presented Life Drive which was set up by Andy Heaton for Bournemouth council (now BCP) to help recently qualified driver’s gain more experience with in-class theory sessions and practical drive out assessment’s over a 6 month period. This scheme has been recognised by the industries leading Driving Instructor associations and is still being run by BCP and Life Drive, we highly recommend all pupils utilise this free training.

Dan is always looking to improve his knowledge of driver education and attends many courses over the years, most recently completing a driver metrics course with Dr Lisa Dorn research director at the university of Cranfield on driver behaviours. Dan is currently completing his training as a driving instructor trainer, along with expanding Murphy’s Driving Tuition to include Automatic tuition and trailer training.
